A Highland Wedding Ceilidh, Planned Properly
Ceilidh is a Gaelic word for a visit or a gathering, and in the Highlands the tradition has never really gone away. Many local guests will know the dances already, so a Highland ceilidh tends to get going quickly. The caller still walks through every dance for the guests who've travelled in.
We're honest about distance. Inverness is over 110 miles up the A9 from the band's Perth base, through the Drumochter Pass, so it's outside the free-travel area. A contribution for mileage, travel time and any overnight stay is added, and it's always quoted up front before you book. There are no surprises on the night.
Highland venues range from hotels in and around Inverness to lochside venues on Loch Ness, country houses near Nairn and Beauly, and estates on the Black Isle. Remote venues often mean a long final stretch on minor roads, so we plan arrival with plenty of margin, especially between November and March when the A9 can be slow in snow.
Highland summer evenings are long. In June it barely gets dark, which suits an outdoor drinks reception, a ceilidh as the light fades and the DJ into the night.

Because the band travels further for Inverness, we confirm arrival and setup times with your venue in advance, and allow extra time in winter.
